We welcome both your editorial and photographic contributions to our magazine as well as to our web sites. At this time, we are not paying for editorial or photographic submissions to the web sites or the magazine. We pay, according to size, for extremely high-quality images (payment is comparable to market rates). Please contact us for details.

Articles for Our Sites
Editorial (essays, investigative reports, poetry, prose, commentary, etc) can be of any length, but must focus on the plight of animals and preferably include ways our visitors/readers can actively make a difference in the issue you are presenting (poetry, stories, commentary excluded). Please include all links to featured organizations or to additional information. If you want our visitors and readers to contact you, please include your email, mailing and/or web site address. To contribute editorial, please send them to our editor.

Photographs for Our Sites
We accept any original photograph that depicts the exploitation, abuse and/or use of animals, but we are also in the process of creating a section on our site depicting the grace and beauty of animals. A requirement for being included in our archive, At Our Hands, is that your photo be copyright-free and made available for use by our visitors in their own projects and web sites to help enlighten people about the plight of animals. Photos need to be 72 dpi and may be emailed to us; if you have a healthy number of photos to contribute, you may collect them in a folder and upload them to our server (please contact us for details). If you are interested in uploading high resolution images for use by visitors in print materials, please contact us for photo specs and information about uploads.

Articles for Our Magazine
Word-length for most contributions should be between 300-500. Feature articles or investigative reports should not exceed 2,000 words in length. Poetry, prose, essays, commentary, news, and other items for the various sections of our magazine are welcome, not to exceed 300-500 words in length. We reserve the right to edit for content as well as for space. We accept editorial contributions as email attachments created in Word or TextEdit, or merely as email text. Please include all links to featured organizations or additional information. If you want our visitors and readers to contact you, please include your email, mailing and/or web site address. Photos for Our Magazine
High resolution images with a DPI of 300 or greater are accepted. We prefer JPEG or TIFF formats. The pictures must depict the exploitation, abuse, or use of animals, or be of animals in their natural state. We reserve the right to crop for space or composition. Photo credit will be given. We pay, according to size, for extremely high-quality images (payment is comparable to market rates).
